The history of L'Ergot Cutlery.
Expertise sharpened by passion.
L'Ergot Cutlery is much more than an online store.
It is the project of a knife enthusiast, functional design, and innovation.
Our mission? To reconcile cutlery tradition and cutting-edge technology to offer unique, high-performance, and durable pieces.
Tradition and technology, united in every blade.
At Ergot, each knife is designed as an object of balance and mastery.
We work with 67-layer Damascus steels and sintered steels from powder metallurgy, selected for their sharpness, durability, and exceptional aesthetics.
But our strength is the combination of noble materials with advanced digital design: 3D-printed handles, optimized for ergonomics, lightness, and grip.
3D printing is not used here for prototyping: it is at the heart of our manufacturing process, for finished, solid, durable, and customizable products.
A handcrafted, French and responsible production.
All our knives are:
- Designed, printed, assembled and sharpened by hand in France.
- Made in small series, with an artisanal and qualitative approach.
- Individually tested to ensure impeccable sharpness and handling.
We use durable materials, limit production waste through additive manufacturing, and favor an ethical approach to cutlery.
What makes us unique:
- Fusion between craftsmanship and 3D innovation.
- Advanced ergonomics for exceptional cutting comfort.
- Simple, elegant and technical design.
- French production on a human scale.
- Durable sharpness & professional precision.
For demanding enthusiasts.
Our knives are for those who seek:
- Reliable and durable tools.
- A functional and simple aesthetic.
- An original and refined gift.
- A true pleasure of cutting, every day.
Whether you are an amateur chef, collector, or simply curious to own a piece that combines modernity and tradition, you are in the right place.
